Virtual Writing (@virtwriting) anniversary tweet-story contest – first prize!
This is a very late post, considering this twitter competition was back in June 2022, but I’ve been meaning to add it to my blog because my entry actually won first prize, so here it is!
Fall Writing Frenzy 2022
Autumn is well and truly here, and I’ve entered Kaitlyn Leann Sanchez and Lydia Lukidis’ fun kidlit writing contest #FallWritingFrenzy again. This time, unusually for me, I’ve abandoned my picture book proclivity and have gone for an older, scarier, spooky vibe instead!
#50 Precious Words
Here’s my #50PreciousWords entry – I didn’t enter last year, so it’s nice to be back! This competition is such fun – I love the challenge of having to pare something down to only 50 words. Thank you to Vivian Kirkfield for organising it!
Spring Fling Kidlit Contest
Spring has arrived, and it’s the third year of Ciara O’Neal and Kaitlyn Leann Sanchez’ #SpringFlingKidlit writing contest! The aim is to find or create a Spring-themed gif, then write a children’s story about it in 150 words or less. Having recently entered Vivian Kirkfield’s 50 Precious words competition, having 150 words to play with felt like a bit of a luxury!
